Sometimes, when you mention MLM or network marketing, people do not respond well. Many times they have had a bad encounter in the past. If a network marketer doesn’t know how to work the business correctly, they may drive people away. Network marketing is not about hard selling, it’s about educating people and making them aware of a product or service.

If you are selling, you are trying to convince people to buy. While you may think that your product or service is perfect for them, they have to be the ones that reach that decision.

It’s the old adage that people hate being sold but they love to buy.

That goes for finding team members to join your team. If you have to convince or coerce someone to join, you will have to keep convincing or coercing them to take any action. It’s like the old saw, don’t wrestle with a pig, it only makes you muddy and annoys the pig.

There are plenty of people who want what you have to offer. Put your energy into attracting them.
