Keep Moving Forward
For whatever reason, most people’s reaction to a bad monetary situation is to cut expenses and turn turtle to weather the situation. In 2008, when the current economy started going bad, that’s what a lot of people did. They must have thought that they would wait a few months for it to blow over and then they could resume.
Now we are in 2010, almost 2011, and it still hasn’t blown over. Cutting expenses may have helped but now people are finding themselves in their situation longer than they thought they would be.
While the news is looking up a little, don’t expect it to be over until it’s over. The 1930’s were full of roller coaster financial news but the Depression didn’t end until wartime production kicked in during the 1940’s.
What you can do is keep moving forward. Keep exploring how you can increase your income to take care of any shortfalls as well as generally increasing your standard of living. You don’t need to wait for an improvement in the national or global economy. You just need to improve your personal economy.
