Be Your Own Boss

Being your own boss is the dream of many. Unfortunately, that’s where most people stop, at the dream stage.

There’s a story about a man who is walking by a house and hears moaning. He stops and goes up to the porch to see if anyone needed help. He saw an old man in a rocking chair and a dog lying on the porch moaning. The man asked the elderly gentleman why the dog was moaning.

“He’s lying on a nail,” was the reply.

“Why doesn’t he get up and move?”

“Guess it doesn’t hurt enough,” was the answer.

That’s the story I often hear. People complain about things but it doesn’t hurt enough to do anything about it. My answer is if you keep doing what you’ve been doing, you’ll keep receiving what you’ve already gotten. For things to change, you must change.
