Dr. Denis Waitley, author and success coach, once said, “If you aren’t online, you’ll be in some kind of a bread line.”
Many people get into network marketing and they want to do two things on the Internet – send an email or twelve to everyone on the net talking about their opportunity and putting up a web page that trumpets their killer opportunity where people will just automatically sign up like fish jumping into a boat.
When these things don’t work after three months, they either quit or go on to the next killer opportunity.
It just doesn’t work that way. I have yet to see fish just jump into a boat or a killer opportunity that has people joining online on the first exposure.
Just because the medium of contact is the Internet, people still have to know, like and trust you. This means developing a relationship. This means repeated exposure. As you develop the relationship, you determine whether or not the opportunity is appropriate for their situation or not.
The Internet is not a magic pot o’ gold for a network marketing business but when used correctly, can be an important way to get your message out, develop relationships and grow your business.

Lifestyle freedom has at least two components – money freedom and time freedom. One of the assumptions of that is you are healthy enough to enjoy it all. People who have lost their health would often give everything they own to get it back.
Prevention is very important. It’s much easier to keep your health than regain it. One of the best and easiest ways to keep your health is to supplement your diet with very good nutritional supplements. They should at least be a good anitoxidant and chelated minerals supplement.
The antioxidants will help keep oxidative stress from occurring in your body. The oxygen free radicals are oxygen molecules that are missing an electron. They will take from the next thing they bump into. That could be a cell wall, DNA, mitochondria, etc. Soon the cells look like the carpet surrounding a wood burning fireplace without a screen. Antioxidants supply that electron without becoming toxic.
The chelated minerals supply many of the building blocks to repair damage as well as reducing the toxicity of many pollutants in our environment. The chelated part means that the minerals are bound to a some protein molecules to increase the absorbability by the body.
Not all supplements are the same. There is a book called The Comparitive Guide to Nutritional Supplements by Lyle MacWilliam that rates over 1600 products from North America. Check it out.

The recent series of hurricanes have called attention to how people are affected by the forces of nature. My heart and prayers go out to those that have been affected and those who will be.
These forces of nature, whether they are hurricanes, earthquakes, forest fires or tornadoes, can affect more than just the houses. Many local businesses are lost as well along with the jobs and incomes they provided. It can be a one two punch to a person’s standard of living.
What I like about my home based business is that it’s portable. If I need to relocate quickly such as an evacuation, I just need my laptop and my cell phone. In a pinch, I can get by with my cell phone. Since my business is also international, there’s very little interruption because only a small percentage of my customers would be affected.
Contrast this with a brick and mortar business. In an evacuation, all you can do is lock it up and hope it physically survives. Even if it does, if the client base is local, there may not be enough customers to stay in business once the storm passes.
Knowing this helps me sleep better while the storms rage outside.

Today, most people are in denial about their financial situation. They put off travelling, their hobbies, spending time with their family, etc. They’ll do that when they retire is their motto. They are also sold on the concept that when they retire, they will only need about 60% of what they are making now because their expenses such as mortgage and business costs will be eliminated. What they are not make a connection with is that travelling, hobbies and such will probably cost more at a time when their income will drop.
Living on 60% of what was not usually adequate in the first place means that they will be spending retirement sitting at home, watching TV and counting their pennies as they watch their fixed income eaten up by inflation, increased health care costs and higher gas costs.
To retire, you need income. The retirement savings plans are sold as being able to replace your income when you retire. Unfortunately, living off savings sets up a race to see which gives out first, you or your savings.
Having your own business that provides residual income allows you to retire at any time. You can enjoy things while you are still young and healthy enough to enjoy them. You have time freedom to do what you want to do, when you want to do it.
My business is also an asset that I can will the income to my sons which allows me to help even when I’m not there.
The bottom line is that if you want to do things when you retire, residual income is the real answer.
