Network Marketing in the Internet Age
Dr. Denis Waitley, author and success coach, once said, “If you aren’t online, you’ll be in some kind of a bread line.”
Many people get into network marketing and they want to do two things on the Internet – send an email or twelve to everyone on the net talking about their opportunity and putting up a web page that trumpets their killer opportunity where people will just automatically sign up like fish jumping into a boat.
When these things don’t work after three months, they either quit or go on to the next killer opportunity.
It just doesn’t work that way. I have yet to see fish just jump into a boat or a killer opportunity that has people joining online on the first exposure.
Just because the medium of contact is the Internet, people still have to know, like and trust you. This means developing a relationship. This means repeated exposure. As you develop the relationship, you determine whether or not the opportunity is appropriate for their situation or not.
The Internet is not a magic pot o’ gold for a network marketing business but when used correctly, can be an important way to get your message out, develop relationships and grow your business.

Denis Waitly is so right the internet is the future…that is why I joined up with LHM…it made alot sense….but you still have to get to know the person you want in your business….it is still a relationship business.

Another thing that web 2.0 cavemen do is add their website to their display name in messnegers. Stopped clicking those about 3 years ago…

Network marketing is definitely the way to go in this day a nd age. I used to shop at the mall…now I shop online! Whatever people are looking for, going online is the new way to to do that. I agree that when I’m looking for a product with a company I don’t know, I hesitate to buy from them or do business in some other way. When I’m looking to purchase products, I always look to see if there are reviews from other people at their site. That way I know if their products are of good quality and if they treat their customers well. I know my son has uses a blog at several sites to acquaint himself with various possible customers. Seems like if you give up because you get very little business the first 3 months, you’ll never establish a clientele. Slow and steady wins the race in the long run. I think that is true for network marketing too.
